Happy Monday everyone,

Another week has passed, and I’ve done a lot of work on Nyx: Legacy. But today’s post is a little different.

When I started doing weekly updates, I had a list of things I was excited to talk about. Now I often find myself sitting down, trying to force a topic, just to keep the rhythm going — and that doesn’t feel right anymore.

I don’t want to post meaningless filler just to say “I worked on Nyx and it was hard.”Even though, to be honest… that is often the reality.Game development is tough — I do this in my free time while juggling work, family, and life like everyone else.On top of that, I deal with writer’s block, insecurity about whether certain scenes or details really fit, and technical struggles I can’t always solve because I’m still learning.

These challenges aren’t new — they’ve been part of the journey since day one, and I expect they’ll still be here at the end. That’s the curse of building something you care about.

Don’t get me wrong: I enjoy having to stop and think deeply about my game. But it does mean I have less time and fewer clear moments where I feel I have something meaningful to say here.

So — I’ve decided to stop writing weekly blogs.Instead, I’ll share updates when I actually have something worth sharing. No, this isn’t a “see you next year” kind of thing. I’ll still be around on Discord and Twitch if you ever have questions or just want to hang out.

For now, I’m going to focus on developing Nyx: Legacy — and I’ll speak up when it makes sense.

Thanks for sticking with me.– Mike
